The view from my perch on the mountain

Dawn to Dusk

Continuing a look  back at what I’ve managed to capture during the past 2 years, sunrises and sunsets. The beach scene is of Chic’s Beach, the neighborhood where I grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  The rest were shot in and around Wythe County, Virginia where we live now. As with yesterday’s post, click on the thumbs in the gallery below to views full size images.

  1. Yeeeee Haaawwww! Wolfie was the first one here!! Must have been all that lovely sun drawing me in from the torrential rain afflicting this side of the pond of late 🙂 I’ll stick around a little while longer just to ensure I can remember what the sun looks like and soak up some rays!!

  2. Hey Chip, your sunrises and sunsets kinda look like ours, B..U..T…FUL!!

I just love getting up before the sun, to watch it rise. It’s so peaceful then, just me, my camera, my cup o coffee and the birds… LOVE IT!

  3. The sea is nice, but I’m a country boy. Those shots are my favorites. You, of course, probably feel just the opposite. Home will always be home.
