.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH FRIDAY. WIND CHILLS NEAR ZERO FRIDAY NIGHT.

Yeah, right!

This ain’t my first rodeo. I know how those clowns at the National Weather Service operate. They use a Ouija board, tea leaves, and a small pouch containing shiny pebbles and chicken bones.

A weather forecast calling for 1-3 inches of snow means we’ll get nothing or:

two_feet_of_snow

We’ll be hoping for the former while preparing for the latter.

  2. I understand entirely what you mean…think same about Weathernet in Canada re chicken bones and tea leaves..but up here I think tarot cards may also be involved…seriously, we have the same idea about to hit us (or not, depending)…half the time it travels around us only to stop everything everywhere else..result: we don’t ACTUALLY get hit, but our import resources do…so we MIGHT AS WELL HAVE GOTTEN HIT, because everything gets stopped anyway….one more note: say Spring, not Summer at least for us up here, because that seems to something else we don’t get much of anymore…heat waves like last summer I can do without…but warm, and possibly rain and something above -20 celcius wouldn’t be a bad thing….good blog…I especially liked the pics of the feet..nice touch there, Chip…love, Katie

I dread the heat waves, too, Katie! When the heat and humidity shroud the mountains in summer haze I have to have A/C or I can’t breathe. On the other hand, besides 4 fingers and a thumb, sitting on the beach back home with the waves washing over my feet ain’t bad:)

  4. Beautiful sunny day here today…but it comes at a price…freezing cold! Still … clear skies tonight so if I can figure out how to rig up the new telescope…very complicated…involves lenses and spanners and screwdrivers…and attachments…and panic!!! I might just have some great winter fun! Oh…it can be used for astrophotography too…so watch out for photographic competition! lol 😉

  5. I’d love a peek through that telescope of Wolfie’s, and Chip, I don’t wish to appear ungrateful, but we don’t a share of your weather, you can keep it. thank you.

    • Come on over Arlene! You’ll probably do a far better job of putting it all together than I will too!
