  1. All’s quiet at 7:00 a.m. Love that field with the first pink of day.

  3. Oh, look! You still have leaves! Now I love all of the photos for different reasons: the first for that new glint of sun on the trees in the distance and the glow of the stop lights; the second not only for the great pencil, but for the car who’s headlights are reflected in the street, and the fallen leaves because I just like the look of fallen leaves. And then of course the third photo for the wonderful fog and mist surrounding that perfect tree. Chip, you have a great eye, my friend 😀

  5. Well alright then! Was wondering where you’d got to…on the verge of sending the pack on a hunting expeditiion to find you! Very autumny in your pics…most of our leaves, what remain, that is, are past that lovely russet stage and turning yellow and looking decidedly dead! Looks peaceful at that time of day… 🙂

So peaceful looking! Love the colors and mood. Your main street looks like something out of Andy Griffith—so clean and simple—love it! Thanks for sharing! Oh, and don’t overdo on the cooking front—it’s so easy to do but then you have to EAT it all too!!!

  10. Love the top one and the misty one. I am constantly trying to capture the weather in my shots. Today it was trying to capture frost. You make it look easy and those gorgeous red colours. Love it.

  11. Like them all especially last quite mysterious looking. We still have a lot of leaves I tried cleaning them off the lawn the other day, but have given up now, I don’t mind them and they’ll keep till spring and will get done then as it’s warmer. I really must take the camera out again while it’s sunny.

I had decided you really did go postal with the VA thing!
Too long gone my man. I started to head on up the idiot strip to check on my cousin Walter and look in on you. Glad you posted, it saved me a trip. Walter ain’t very good company anyway.

    • The change in weather had my beat up old bones aching so bad I had to break out the drugs and spend a few days revisiting the 60s. Just to give you an idea of how bad it actually was, I didn’t even feel up to shooting any pictures and you know that ain’t me! All is well again and I’m back to as close to normal as I ever get. I do have this nagging urge to put some flowers in my hair, paint up the nephews van and head out to the Left Coast.

  13. Oh pleeeeeeeeeze Chip promise us that if you put flowers in your hair, you’ll get a photo taken and post it , I dare you.

  14. This just makes me want to visit your Main Street one day! Yours and mine kind of go together! The top shot is fantastic, the second is cool. What a pencil! The third is so my kind of thing!
