Make sure your home is protected and prevent freezing pipes during this period of extreme cold.

Right; time to plug in the heat tapes to keep the pipes from freezing, get out the coats, gloves and boots, just in case, and settle in until the sun comes back Saturday.

Man,am I ever glad that I’m retired and don’t have to go outside and dodge idiots sliding around on the slick roads!

  1. Oh good Lord, it sounds like both snow and sleet/ice. I say go for the snow and skip the rest. Snow and ice is for the birds, but ……well, no, I can’t say that. That’s a horrible pun and your “burdz” wouldn’t be happy at all, lol, but you get my drift. ^&*^& drat, did it again. I swear that wasn’t on purpose. Only thing here is cold rain and a lot of fallen, slippery leaves. You are so right when you say it’s great to be retired and not have to go out and fight the crazies on the roads. I love being shut in in bad weather. Make good stuff to eat, pop in a movie, get the quilts and the pets and cuddle up for the whole darn day. Love it!

  4. Hi Chip it doesn’t seem that long a go since you had the heat tapes on the pipes, I just hate wintertime, it’s OK on Christmas cards, that’s about it, Right now we’re having mild spell, but no doubt that’ll change. Hope Sam is continuing to get better and putting on some weight, thanks for posting on Tango.
    Keep warm if possible
