Don’t know the scientific name or even if Granny’s Bonnet is the right name. That’s just what I’m told they’re called and they’re my favorite in my wife’s garden. She has them growing in several planters around the yard.
Puzzle has it right, Aquilega from the Latin name for Eagle, Aquila, Granny’s and Eagles???just what is the connection? LOL mine are just starting to come into blog, they are so prolific, I’ve got seedlings popping up everywhere. Lovely pics Chips,
What beautiful flowers!! Thank you!!!!!
Hugs, honey!!!!

Yes, Columbine, and very pretty. Always loved flowers that dangle.

My Mom really likes these. Most of hers have been crowded out by the Sundrops and other flowers that have underground runners.
